The Northumbria Mysteries
2pm, BBC One
If you enjoyed Sally Phillips’s recent Hairdresser Mysteries, here’s another daytime cosy (if slightly less camp) crime drama with a familiar face. Robson Green plays ex-con and gambler Joe Ruby, who finds himself solving crimes on the Northumberland coast with Liz White’s Oxford-educated DI Rose O’Connell. First up, the body of a monk is found in a priory. Hollie Richardson
