Dispatches: Undercover A&E – NHS in Crisis

9pm, Channel 4
This exposé of the NHS’s dire state airs bang in the middle of the election campaign for maximum impact. It features footage secretly shot over two months by a reporter working inside an A&E department, and promises a litany of horrifying conditions – including seriously ill patients sleeping on chairs for days at a time, superbugs fed by overcrowding and ambulances having to queue for hours before dropping off patients. It’s followed by a debate hosted by Krishnan Guru-Murthy on how to fix the NHS. Alexi Duggins

Hollie Richardson

House of the Dragon

9pm, Sky Atlantic
The longest HotD episode to date makes for deeply unsettling viewing as Aegon, Alicent and the rest of Team Black struggle to come to terms with the loss of one of their own. Rhaenyra, meanwhile, reels from the accusations being hurled in her direction – is an all-out war unavoidable? Kayleigh Dray

The Sympathizer

10.25pm, Sky Atlantic
The narratively tricksy adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer-winning novel continues. In his absence, the General has cooked up a risky invasion plan in the back of a pho shop beloved by expats. Graeme Virtue
