When Stourwick patriarch Henry Shirewell pops his clogs, his eldest son, ceramicist Lucian, announces to his siblings that he plans to transform the family pile into a – shock, horror! – residential artists’ community. That means kicking everybody out for good. But when a letter is discovered that casts suspicion on his actions, DCI Barnaby and DS Jamie Winter are called in to solve a potential murder. It’s surprisingly entertaining to see the likes of Rob Rinder, Eddie Kadi, AJ Odudu and former contestant Tom Skinner crack under pressure in Lapland. HR

Classic FM Live: 25th Anniversary Concert

The mighty anthem Jerusalem, gifted by Hubert Parry to the women’s suffrage movement as their unofficial hymn, is performed by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (and its chorus) alongside Zadok the Priest and Nessun Dorma, as part of Classic FM’s 25th anniversary gig, recorded last October at the Royal Albert Hall.
