Virgin Media’s popular weatherman Deric Hartigan has announced the death of his beloved mother, Marie.
The popular Ireland AM presenter shared his heartache on Twitter to fans.
His mother Marie passed away peacefully at her home in Limerick on May 13. Her funeral took place last Monday in St. Patrick's Church, Donoughmore, Limerick.

Taking to social media, Deric shared a gorgeous photo of himself at sunset.
He wrote: "Thank you for all the very thoughtful messages re: my mum's passing.
"Extremely difficult time at the moment but surrounded by love."
Deric's fans and friends flooded the comment section with loving tributes for his late mum.
Darragh O'Brien TD said: "I'm very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing Deric. Please accept my deepest sympathies. May your Mom Rest in Peace. Look after yourself Deric."
Joanna Donnelly said: "Oh I didn’t realise Deric. I’m so sorry for your loss."
