TV Newsance 347 | Modi does math and your car pays the price for E20

This week on TV Newsance, everything is under water! Monsoon has finally arrived and you know what that means. From Mumbai, Gurugram, Delhi, Surat, Kashi, to Wayanad, cities are drowning, infrastructure is collapsing. Pick a city, any city, and there's a decent chance it's drowning. Same story, different year.

Meanwhile, away from all the floods and civic apathy, our ‘Dear Leader’ is busy enjoying his summer vacation in Indonesia, where he has dropped a sequel to his infamous (a+b)^2 calculation! Enter: “2+6=8”. Don’t worry, the math is technically correct this time, but the logic is truly out of this world. You see, India’s Republic Day is on the 26th (of January). Two plus six equals eight. And coincidentally – what a massive coincidence – the Indonesian President’s birthday is on the 17th (of October). And guess what one plus seven adds up to? We do the math so you don't have to.

But wait, there’s more. He also talked about some very critical developments in India: Peak innovation in UPI has led Indians to forget their debit cards and ATM PINs! What an incredible achievement, Modiji!

Back home, things are messier. Ayodhya's Ram Mandir “chanda chori” saga refuses to die. Champat Rai has gone silent, but BJP's own Vinay Katiyar hasn't, giving TV anchors a full 8-minute meltdown to sell as television. And then there's the ethanol-blended petrol (E20) row that's got vehicle owners furious on social media.
