Turkey-Syria earthquake death toll expected to double as fatalities exceed 25,000, UN aid chief says

The death toll from the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria is expected to double, a UN aid chief has said.

Fatalities from the earthquake rose to 25,880 on Saturday. Of that number, 24,617 were located in Turkey, the disaster management authority said.
