During her confirmation hearing with the Senate Intelligence Committee, President Donald Trump's nominee for Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, addressed concerns about following illegal orders. When asked if she would comply with an illegal order, Gabbard emphasized her commitment to upholding the law.

Gabbard stated, 'My commitment has been and will be, if confirmed as director of National Intelligence, to comply with the law.' She further added that she does not believe President Trump would issue such an order.
