Tui issue warning to jetsetters flying from UK airports over the coming days

Tui has sent out a warning to jetsetters flying from certain UK airports.

The warning will impact holidaymakers jetting off for some spring sunshine over the coming days. The airline has issued a statement to say there will be a limited food service on board some of their planes.

It said: "We can confirm that unfortunately due to staff shortages with our catering supplier, there will be no hot and cold meals or sandwiches, and a limited offering of snacks and drinks, available onboard TUI Airways short- and mid-haul flights over the coming days.

"This will impact flights from the following airports: Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Doncaster Sheffield, Dublin, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Humberside, Leeds Bradford, Luton, Norwich and Teesside."

The airline advised passengers affected to bring on their own supplies. It added: "Customers may therefore want to bring their own food and soft drinks onboard (no alcohol permitted). Any soft drinks over 100ml will need to be purchased after you have passed through security.

"Please note this disruption does not affect any long-haul flights to Aruba, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Orlando and St Lucia and meal services on these flights will continue to operate as normal.

"Please be assured we are continuously monitoring the situation and working closely with our suppliers to limit the impact to the onboard service for our customers. We are directly contacting all customers impacted. We’re very sorry for any inconvenience caused."
