Hundred gets going
A new season of the Hundred gets under way at the Oval, with MI London Women taking on SunRisers Leeds at 2.30pm on BBC Two and Sky Sports Main Event before the men play on BBC Two at 6pm.
On TNT Sports 1 at 7pm, the West Indies face New Zealand in an ODI.
The Tour continues
Remco Evenepoel was critical of middle-of-the night doping tests at the Tour de France after emerging victorious in stage 15, calling the practice “inhuman”.
Jonas Vingegaard was woken at 2am and race leader Tadej Pogacar at 5am local time for tests before Sunday’s stage.
The Dane crashed out with a broken collar bone but the rest continue on stage 16 on TNT Sports 1 from 11.30am.
What else is happening on Tuesday?
Luke Littler began the defence of his World Matchplay Darts title in Blackpool on Sunday against Niko Springer, producing a fine 109 average for a 10-6 victory.
Gary Anderson also produced a good display to demolish Ryan Joyce and progress to the last 16 and play continues at Winter Gardens on Tuesday.
The Scot, who was victorious in 2018, produced finishes of 144 and 141 to ease to a 10-2 victory.
The action continues on Sky Sports Action from 7pm and on Sky Sports Mian Event from 9.30pm.

1964: Tottenham forward John White was killed when he was struck by lightning while sheltering from a storm during a round of golf on the links at Crews Hill, Enfield.

1981: England won a remarkable third Ashes Test by 18 runs at Headingley. Ian Botham had taken six wickets in Australia’s first innings and made an unbeaten 149 in England’s second – following on – before the tourists were dismissed for 111. The hosts went on to win the series – widely known as ‘Botham’s Ashes’ – 3-1.
2014: England and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard announced he was retiring from international football after earning 114 caps over 14 years.
2024: Luke Humphries became just the fourth man to win the World Championship and World Matchplay in the same year after a dramatic triumph in Blackpool. Humphries beat Michael van Gerwen 18-15 in the Matchplay final.
