Trump launches ‘Trump TV’ as a White House media standoff throws traditional presidential coverage into turmoil (Credit: The White House/YOUTUBE SCREENSHOT)

The White House has launched Trump TV, a 24/7 YouTube stream putting President Donald Trump and his administration's speeches, announcements and selected footage directly in front of viewers.

The timing comes days after Trump barred CNN, Politico and MS NOW from the White House, while the television press pool stopped covering designated presidential events after CNN was prevented from carrying out its scheduled assignment. The three outlets subsequently filed a federal lawsuit challenging the restrictions.
