Former President Donald Trump's defamation case took a dramatic turn as he faced the threat of being removed from the courtroom for his outbursts during the testimony of E. Jean Carroll. Carroll, an author and columnist, had accused Trump of sexually assaulting her in a department store during the 1990s. Despite Trump's denial of any wrongdoing, a jury found him liable for the assault and subsequently for defaming Carroll, leading to a judgment against him amounting to five million dollars.
During the recent court proceedings, Carroll testified about the detrimental impact of Trump's continued falsehoods and lies on her career and reputation. The former president, however, could not contain himself and interjected with comments such as 'that's not true' while she was testifying. In response, the judge warned Trump that he would be removed from the courtroom if he failed to maintain decorum. Unfazed, Trump defiantly retorted that the judge couldn't control himself either, and then promptly walked out.
