Trump strikes a fuel deal with Putin. Then he shrugs off warnings that the move is a gift to the man allegedly helping Iran target US warships

President Trump has finalized a new agreement with Vladimir Putin to release Russian diesel into global markets, a move that eases sanctions on Moscow just as the White House looks for ways to lower fuel costs, as reported by The Daily Beast. This decision arrives while the administration faces intense pressure regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran, a war that has dragged on for seven and a half months despite initial promises that it would only last a few weeks.

The move has drawn sharp criticism from international leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who stated that “gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world.”
