Donald Trump is furious with one-time ally and right-wing media mogul Rupert Murdoch over new revelations that the Fox News executive admitted his regret that top personalities on the network “endorsed” the former president’s false election fraud claims.
Messages among Fox hosts, producers and executives and Mr Murdoch’s sworn deposition were uncovered in bombshell filings from Dominion Voting System’s $1.6bn lawsuit against the network
On his Truth Social account on Wednesday, Mr Trump said that Mr Murdoch and “MAGA Hating Globalist RINOS” at Fox News who refuse to believe his bogus claims that the election was “Rigged” and “Stollen [sic]” should “get out of the News Business”.
Mr Trump’s comments came days before he is set to take the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference, CPAC, where his false election claims are expected to animate several speeches and panels among right-wing activists and officials.
New polling this week heading into the conference also shows that the former president maintains a big lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and other potential 2024 contenders.
