US President Donald Trump on Monday denied offering Iran any concessions, after a report emerged that Washington was willing to provide sanctions relief and release frozen Iranian funds as part of a final agreement if Tehran makes “concrete progress” on the nuclear issue.

“I offered them NOTHING!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social, rejecting the claim that his administration had offered Iran sanctions relief.
He wrote, "Axios just released a story that “Trump” offered Sanctions Relief and Frozen Funds to Iran. This is untrue. I offered them NOTHING! Axios’ story, like most others, is a HOAX, used only for purposes of satisfying their Trump Derangement Syndrome. They should withdraw this fake story, IMMEDIATELY!"
Trump says Iran ‘overplayed its hand’
Trump told Axios on Sunday that he expected further talks with Iran to take place this week.
“They want to make a deal, but it is not the deal that I want to make,” Trump said. “It is what we would have maybe agreed to a year ago. They overplayed their hand.”
Trump had also rejected Iran’s latest proposal concerning the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, calling it “unacceptable”.
The US official said Iran had indicated it was willing to show flexibility on nuclear issues, but the two sides remained divided over the timing of the commitments.
