President Donald Trump presented the National Medals of Science and the National Medals of Technology and Innovation to six technology leaders on Thursday, 8 October 2026, recognising their contributions to science, engineering, and technological innovation.

The National Medal of Science went to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and AMD CEO Lisa Su. Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella received the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. The ceremony took place at the 'Science: A New Golden Age Summit,' an administration event focused on scientific research and technological development.
