Troy Aikman Appears Ready for Tom Brady’s Broadcasting Career

Although Tom Brady has yet to start his broadcasting career, it surely seems like Troy Aikman is ready to watch and listen to the seven-time Super Bowl champion’s football analysis on air.

Joe Buck and the Pro Football Hall of Famer were on the call for the Giants-Packers clash on Monday Night Football. Clinging to 14-10 lead nearly midway through the third quarter, Giants punter Jamie Gillan booted a punt that grazed the left arm of safety Bobby McCain, resulting in a recovered fumble by Packers safety Rudy Ford.

Moments after the Giants’ miscue on special teams, Aikman could not contain his excitement and laughter along with pondering what Brady’s thoughts might be after watching New York’s special teams gaffe.

“You know, I just, I watch this and I’m just wondering, if Tom Brady’s watching this game, what is he saying right now?” Aikman asked. “Tom, text me if you’re watching.”

Although the 46-year-old is no longer carving up NFL defenses on Sunday, Brady is still in tune with the NFL and recently criticized the league for its rule changes and players lacking fundamentals. So, when Aikman requested Brady to text him during Monday’s contest, Buck made sure to remind the future Hall of Famer to avoid any bad language.

“We will read the text verbatim, Tom,” Joe Buck said during the live broadcast. “So, whatever it is, keep it clean.”

NFL fans aren’t sure what they are getting in Brady the Fox Sports broadcaster. However, as he continues to enjoy time away before taking over as the network’s lead analyst, it’s safe to say that Aikman will surely be a fan.
