Scots revellers are being offered a family friendly under 16s alternative to TRNSMT festival on Saturday, July 8.
Summer Daze fest (aka SMRDZE) at Ingliston Country club in Bishopton will feature a huge 500 capacity marquee filled with music, entertainment, arts and crafts, bubble machines, and fabulous festival food and drink offerings for those unable to make it down to Glasgow Green.
With DJs, a Little Mix tribute and Scots singer Benji performing everything from Harry Styles to Keane on the day from 1-5pm, there will be a true music festival atmosphere in the marquee.
And parents will have access to a licensed bar with special cocktails while youngsters can get involved in a character dance party, face painters, arts and crafts, giveaways, and competitions in little teepees scattered around the venue.
The fest, which comes hot on the heels of a sold out neon family disco rave held at Ingliston estate and country club over Easter, is the brainchild of the centre’s new events manager Lynne McDermott who has worked in Ibiza, Dubai and at festival events throughout the world.
Lynne said: “We can’t wait to welcome families to our big festival event of the summer SMRDZE.
"Our Grand Marquee is a permanent structure and is lovely and airy with a state of the art sound system in place making it the perfect size for a fun music fest with lots of entertainment and special festival food, mocktails, and cocktails. It’s a great day out for adults and children and there’s no age barrier.”
The Renfrewshire estate has just had superstar DJ Judge Jules perform with his Live Band for the first time in Scotland, with some other big events lined up for the future including guest appearances from TOWIE’s Mark Wright and other big name celebrities and live music.
The permanent Grand Marquee with its drapes and chandeliers can also comfortably seat 500 people for an awards show and even hosts an artists green room.
Tickets are on sale now at £25 an adult and £15 a child.
