TRNSMT 2022: Spot yourself in the crowd as Paolo Nutini wraps up day one

For the fifth year, TRNSMT is back for three days of live music from major artists.

On Friday July 8, thousands descended to Glasgow Green for the day where four stages offered a something for everyone with Paolo Nutini closing the night after Sam Fender, Ella Henderson and Tom Greenan amongst others put on a show for festival fans.

TRNSMT at Glasgow Green has a capacity to hold around 50,000 people daily and despite the drizzle on Friday, it didn't put the fans off as mass crowds gathered around the main stage. The music festival is also made up of three smaller stages including The King Tut's Stage, The Boogie Bar and River Stage.

The King Tut's Stage welcomed Edinburgh's Callum Beattie, Beabadoobee, The Regrettes and Brooke Comb amongst others. Meanwhile, over at The Boogie Bar, DJ Dan South kicked off the afternoon followed by Nico Balducci, K4CIE and BETH. This is the only second year that The Boogie Bar was included at TRNSMT after it quickly gained attention at its debut in 2021.

Supporting breaking new artists, we have the River Stage that gave a platform to the likes of Etta Marcus, Dead Pony, Finn Askew and The Skinner Brothers.

Saturday is set to be a bright, dry and sunny day with ticket holders buzzing to see The Snuts, Wet Leg, Foals and The Strokes. Sadly Years and Years had to pull out last minute after singer Olly Alexander caught an infection. This means the line up for Saturday as changed with Wet Leg being moved onto the Main Stage, much to fans delight.
