Paralympics gold medallist Ben Hance is among three late additions to Australia's swim team for the looming Commonweath Games.

Hance, who collected gold, silver and bronze medals at last year's Tokyo Paralympics and Jack Ireland and Ruby Storm have been added to the Dolphins team.

They join 27 other Para-swimmers and 46 able-bodied swimmers to compete at the Birmingham Games starting on July 28.

Hance is the world record holder in the men's 100m backstroke S14 and won the event at last year's Paralympics and the recent world titles in Portugal.

He is expected to also feature in the 4x100m mixed relay team with the 18-year-old Storm and Ireland - the trio were among Australia's team which claimed a silver medal in the relay at last month's world championships.
