Tributes have been paid to former Ireland senior team liaison officer Eddie Corcoran, following his passing.
Corcoran was also known as the scout who spotted Robbie Keane.
While working for Wolves, he recommended the then-16-year-old to the Molineux side in 1996.
He later worked for the FAI in a logistics capacity - and the association on Monday tweeted the news of his death
“The FAI is saddened to learn of the death of our former men’s senior team Liaison Officer Eddie Corcoran who served our international managers and players with great dedication over so many years. May he rest in peace,” it read.
Matt Holland replied: “So sorry to read this. Eddie was a lovely man. Thoughts and prayers with his family at this difficult time.”
Former Ireland striker David Connolly added: “Sending my condolences to Eddie’s family. Rest in peace.”
And Alan Kelly, who represented Ireland both as a goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach, wrote: “Rest in peace Eddie.”
