A group of women were having dinner at a Cheesecake Factory in Iowa when a pregnant woman approached their table. Wearing a dark blue top, she reached for some of their bread and started eating it. The women quickly started laughing at the unexpected interaction.
The seated women looked stunned at first. Then they started laughing. An on-screen caption described the moment: “POV: this random pregnant lady just starts taking your bread from the table.”
The clip runs just over nine seconds. At one point, the pregnant woman holds the bread out to a seated woman. That woman laughs instead of objecting. Nobody at the table asks her to stop.
It was hard to say no to the pregnant woman
The video’s creator, identified on TikTok as Rylee, added a caption of her own. “Can’t really say no to a pregnant woman,” she wrote. The women at the table seemed to see the funny side of it.

Cheesecake Factory’s bread has also become a familiar part of the restaurant’s identity, while videos of people asking strangers for food have become common on TikTok. A New York woman recently approached a stranger about an untouched Wagyu plate at another restaurant, although the circumstances were different.
The comments were divided. One reply read, “She’s growing life. Yes, Mama, take the bread,” and received over 28,000 likes. Another commenter disagreed. “Absolutely not. Idc if she’s pregnant or not, get your own bread,” the commenter wrote.
Other commenters shared their own experiences with pregnancy cravings. One woman recalled swapping meals with a neighbor during her pregnancy. “When I was pregnant I hated whatever I cooked so I cooked and I took my food to my neighbour in return she gave me whatever she cooked,” she wrote.
Cheesecake Factory has also been the subject of other TikTok videos this year, including a customer who disputed the price of a cheesecake slice. There was no dispute in this video. It ends with the pregnant woman still laughing and eating the bread.
