Locals have began paying tribute to a Lanarkshire man found dead in a property on Sunday.
The body of John Paul Duffy was discovered within High Coats Flats in Coatbridge on April 10.
And police are treating the 51-year-old's death as murder.
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death.
Cops have also confirmed the death of a woman, whose body was found two days later in nearby Calder Street, is being treated as unexplained with formal identification has yet to take place.
Officers say the two deaths are linked.
Earlier today we told you Police Scotland has launched an investigation into the matter and the probe continues.
People have began posting tributes to Celtic fan John Paul, pictured.
One person described the loss as "heartbreaking", and added "hope you're at peace now Jie, will never forget you".
Another added: "So sad".
A third, also shocked at today's news, wrote: "This is tragic R.I.P to both families."
And a fourth person also passed on their condolences: "Rest in peace, thinking of their families and friends."
DCI Graham Grant told Lanarkshire Live this afternoon: “The deaths are being treated as linked and officers are currently carrying out extensive enquiries into both incidents.
“I would ask the public for their patience as our investigation continues to establish the full circumstances.
"There is an increased police presence in the area and anyone with concerns should call us on 101 or speak to officers.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or spoken to Mr Duffy in the days before his body was found, including anyone who may have visited his flat.
"We are also carrying out enquiries to establish places or persons Mr Duffy visited or frequented in the days before his death.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
Alternatively, information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
