Trey McBride, Kelvin Beachum active for Cardinals vs. 49ers

The Arizona Cardinals released their inactive list 90 minutes before kickoff against the San Francisco 49ers. Two offensive starters who were questionable remained active and would start up.

Tight end Trey McBride, questionable with a rib injury, and tackle Kelvin Beachum questionable with a hamstring injury, both remained active and would be in the starting lineup.

Two other starters were deactivated — kicker Matt Prater and cornerback Garrett Williams.

Williams was ruled out with a groin injury. This could increase the role of rookie Max Melton. It could also be the first action for backup slot cornerback Darren Hall. who is active for the first time this season.

Chad Ryland was elevated from the practice squad and will kick for Prater, who has a left knee injury.

These are the players who are inactive for the game against the 49ers.

  • K Matt Prater
  • CB Garrett Williams
  • LB Victor Dimukeje
  • LB Xavier Thomas
  • OL Isaiah Adams
  • TE Travis Vokolek
  • WR Xavier Weaver

Thomas is inactive for the first time this season. Jon Gaines II is active for the first time this season with Adams out. Weaver has not been active yet this season.

The Cardinals are going with six active defensive linemen. We can expect a lot of base defensive looks against the 49ers.
