Trevor Carson transfer warning as St Mirren name price with 4 clubs leading chase for Buddies keeper

St Mirren have warned that in-demand Trevor Carson won’t be going anywhere unless their valuation is met. The Northern Ireland keeper has been the subject of growing interest from Blackpool, Dundee, St Johnstone and Dundee United.

The St Mirren board have made it clear that he won’t be going anywhere unless they receive a six figure fee for a keeper they view as one of the best in the Premiership. The English League One outfit and Scottish Premiership pair are both keen, as are former club United.

The 35-year-old is aware of the interest. Carson signed a new two-year contract last season and the Buddies want him to see that deal out. St Mirren manager has signed Carson three times for Motherwell, Morecambe and the Buddies. The Paisley side have shown they will only sell if the price is right as they have done in selling midfielders Ethan Erhahon to Lincoln and Dylan Reid to Crystal Palace. St Mirren have also allowed Eamonn Brophy and Jay Henderson permission to open talks with Ross County over a double deal.
