If Ohio State is going to keep on the path it wants, it’ll have to do it with a very thin backfield in West Lafayette and with another key piece of the offense shelved. We’ve already reported that Emeka Egbuka is out after suffering an injury last week against Maryland, and that Miyan Williams was listed as out on the availability report, but now we have confirmation that OSU’s most explosive back is also shelved.
TreVeyon Henderson experienced an undisclosed injury and we’re not really sure when it occurred, but he’s missed the Maryland game as a “precaution,” and we all thought that he’d be back for this game on the road. That, however, is not the case. Henderson came out for warmups with a helmet on and everything but then returned without a helmet and pads. He has been confirmed out.
TreVeyon Henderson is not in pads in OSU's pregame warmups. With Miyan Williams out, Chip Trayanum will be the main guy. Could we see Dallan Hayden and/or Evan Pryor? OSU wants to redshirt Hayden, but he can play four games this season without losing it.

So, now OSU is without three key members on offense and that means other guys will need to step up. Will it be Xavier Johnson, Julian Fleming, or perhaps Carnell Tate to fill the void on the outside? Chip Trayanum figures to get the bulk of the carries in the backfield, but will we see Dallen Hayden for the first time.
No matter what, OSU is going to have to tough this one out, but at least it’s been there before — namely last season.
