Leeds United Under-21s kick off their Papa John's Trophy campaign with a trip to Prenton Park on Tuesday evening to face League Two's Tranmere Rovers.
Michael Skubala's side head into the contest on the back of a rampant 4-0 win over Stoke City, which saw youngster Mateo Joseph bag himself a hat-trick.
Tranmere have already played one of their Papa John's Trophy fixtures in Northern Group B, with Micky Mellon's side picking up a 2-2 draw against League One side Bolton Wanderers. They also earned themselves a bonus point by winning the penalty shootout on the night too.

All matches in the competition will have a winner with a penalty shootout deciding the result should the contest finish level. Crewe Alexandra are the other side involved in Leeds' group who lost their opening fixture to Bolton Wanderers too.
Leeds’ three games will all be played away from home, with home games only being introduced for U21 sides in the knock-out stages of the competition.
