Tributes have flooded in for a Tranmere Rovers groundsman who dedicated 34 years to the club.
Andy Quayle died recently it was announced by the football club on Wednesday. A spokesperson for Tranmere Rovers said Andy was a former head groundsman who had work at the club for more than three decades.
The club posted on its Facebook page to announce the devastating news. They said their "sincere condolences are with their family and friends at this extremely sad time".

Tributes have flooded in for Andy who was described as a "gentle" and "lovely" man. Writing on Facebook, one person said: "RIP Andy. I knew Andy for many years, lovely, gentle man. Thoughts go out to his family and friends. YNWA Andy. God bless."
Another person added: "Had the pleasure of knowing Andy for many years, after working at Tranmere in the 90s. He was a lovely bloke and will be sadly missed by family and friends."
A third also said: "So sorry to hear this knew Andy well although not seen him for years, lovely guy. Thinking of both their family and friends RIP." A fourth person said: "Very sad to hear of Andy’s passing, he was a lovely fella."
The news comes after Tranmere Rovers also announced the death of one of their "long-standing" stewards Marc Stebles. The 33-year-old was described as someone with a "beautiful soul" and "amazing".
A spokesperson for Tranmere Rovers said: "Everyone at TRFC is saddened to hear of the passing of Andy Quayle, former head groundsman who worked at the Club for 34 years, and Marc Stebles, a long-standing steward who sadly passed away at the very young age of 33.
"Our sincere condolences are with their family and friends at this extremely sad time."
