Trampoline park horror as child airlifted to hospital and fighting for his life

A child was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition after a medical emergency at a trampoline park.

Paramedics administered advanced life support on the boy at AIREA51 jump park in Stafford Park, Telford, at about 3pm yesterday, April 16.

He was then flown to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment.

AIREA51 posted on Facebook saying that it would be closed on Monday, but reopen on Tuesday.

Amy Stubbs, spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: "We were called to a medical emergency at Stafford Park 12 in Stafford Park, Telford just before 3pm yesterday (Sunday).

"An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a child in a critical condition.

"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support which continued en route to Royal Stoke Hospital where he was airlifted to for further treatment."

AIREA51 posted on Facebook saying: "Unfortunately we will be closed all day Monday 17th April but will be reopen Tuesday 18th."

The Mirror has contacted AIREA51 for a comment.
