The Traitors has kept viewers hooked since its debut on BBC One, but now one of its stars reckons he had to leave the show because it was "so hostile".
The programme, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, pits 22 contestants against each other in a Scottish castle in a bid to uncover the traitors among them.
Those successful are in with a chance of bagging £120,000, but TV star Theo Maybe, 26, said he's glad to be out of there.
Theo was eliminated after Traitor Amanda turned on him.
Of course he can kiss goodbye to the prize money, but that seems the least of Theo's worries.
"I always go back to everything happens for a reason. I don't think I could've stayed in there much longer, it was getting really hostile," he revealed.
"You weren't turning on people you'd never met, these were people you were building friendships with.
"I'd spent six episodes emotional. This week I'd had a good week, good challenges, got my point across about acceptance and stuff like that, then I had a good banishment, but I don't think I could've been in there much longer," reports Daily Star.
The Leeds contestant added how he would "be going at people and we don't want to see that".
Debuting on the Beeb last month, the show has become a huge hit with viewers with millions claiming they were 'addicted' to the nail-biting format.
The Traitors is fast becoming one of the jewels in the broadcaster's crown and loads of celebs reckon they can't get enough of the 'savage' show.
Corrie star Sally Ann Matthews said: "OMG this show gets camper by the second and it’s ACE."
While comedian Ed Gamble tweeted: "F***ing hell I love The Traitors."
Viewers flocked to social media to praise the programme, albeit some did say they found the suspense 'horrifying'.
One said: "Anyone else watching The Traitors on BBC? I wasn’t sure after episode 1, but after episode 3 I’m hooked. It’s utter chaos, there is no logic and it’s so dramatic."
While another tweeted: "Wowsers!!!! #Traitors on BBC has me shook! Herd mentality is a real thing. I’m questioning all my decisions in life. I need episode 4 IMMEDIATELY!"
After the success of the first few episodes, the BBC is reported to have struck a deal with production company Studio Lambert to bring the game show back for another run next year.
Host Claudia is said to be delighted to return to the show, with a source telling Daily Star: "Claudia absolutely loves the show and thinks it’s a brilliant format. It’s basically a done deal that she’ll be back."
