PASSENGERS travelling between Scotland and Newcastle have been warned of disruption this weekend as more than £4 million worth of upgrades on the line are set to begin.

Network Rail’s teams will be carrying out £4.6m worth of upgrades on the East Coast Main Line between North Berwick and Dunbar in a bid to keep trains “running smoothly” for years to come.
