Following their narrow 111-109 loss, ESPN reported that the Blazers had plans to file a protest with the league office. Their argument stems from a critical call made by the referees in the closing seconds of the game. With a slim 109-108 lead, Blazers coach Chauncey Billups was seen clearly signaling for a timeout from the sideline. However, instead of acknowledging the request, a referee called a double-dribble on guard Malcolm Brogdon with just 15.1 seconds left on the clock.
