Tragedy as woman dies in crash involving car and van on Ayrshire road

Ayrshire Ayr Audi Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

A woman has tragically died after a serious crash between a van and a car on a major Ayrshire road.

The 46-year-old female driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene after the smash with an Audi TT at 5.55am this morning.

The male driver of the Audi was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow
