Traffic delays expected as Edinburgh's Leith Walk locked down in ongoing incident

Traffic delays are expected on Saturday lunchtime as Edinburgh's Leith Walk has been locked down by police in an ongoing incident.

The junction at MacDonald Road was closed off by officers at around 10.30am on March 4. Traffic is being managed by police on the scene and there will be delays due to the volume of traffic that use the main road.

It is unclear if anybody has been injured but images show police tape shutting off part of the pavement and road outside Cash Converters on Leith Walk.

One eyewitness told Edinburgh Live: "There were three police officers talking to a man on Leith Walk next to the cordons."

They added: "Two police cars were parked up and the guy that was giving a statement worked at Cash Converters across the road."
