Reality television personality Jess Wright has described the terrifying moment her four-year-old son, Presley, was "catapulted" from a bouncy castle, landing on a hard floor and briefly losing consciousness.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star shared the harrowing experience with her 1.4 million Instagram followers, revealing that Presley "miraculously" escaped serious injury following the "freak accident" on Saturday.

"We had a really scary thing happen at a bday party," Wright wrote on her Instagram stories. "Presley got catapulted off the top of a bouncy castle high in the air and landed face down on hard wooden floor from about three metres high."

Wright said that the incident caused a chilling silence across the party, adding that sound of Presley’s fall would "haunt me I’m sure."

She recounted the immediate aftermath: "My baby was struggling to breath and then passed out in our arms until coming to in what felt like ages later but probably about five seconds."

Presley was swiftly rushed to a London hospital by ambulance. During the journey, Wright said, medical staff discussed potential severe injuries such as "broken ribs, spine injury and worse." However, upon arrival, the initial shock had subsided, and painkillers began to take effect.

"Miraculously, when we arrived the show had subsided slightly and pain killers kicked in and a few hours later we were released with no injuries other than a few bruises, a very sore little boy and traumatised parents," she explained.

Describing it as the "scariest day of my life," Wright also posted images of Presley recovering in her arms and on a hospital stretcher. She added that Presley has a heart condition, which already makes her "panicky" about his safety.

While calling it a "freak accident," Wright concluded that she would now be far more cautious about allowing him on bouncy castles if there was a risk of landing on a hard surface.
