Regular sliders are so last summer - and it appears a new variant is set to be the style of the season in 2022. Shoppers have spotted a colourful range of sliders in a towelling material that could be the perfect poolside slip on or beach footwear.
One fashion retailer stocking the towelling sliders is Everything5Pounds . Customers can bag the slide-on shoes for £5.25 in an assortment of colours.
They’re the cheapest we’ve found this style of shoe, meaning shoppers could save around £20 on the look.

Everything5Poiunds tweeted: “Someone has spotted a very similar style priced at £25 elsewhere. With E5P, you can bag yours for only £5.25.”
Available in sizes 3 to 8, the sliders come in beige, black, fuchsia, green and orange, meaning you could get every single colour for less than £30.
Boohoo are stocking a similar design for under a tenner, too. Originally priced at £12, these pink towelling sliders have 20 per cent off and have already sold out in a size large, proving they’re a hit with holidaymakers.
Meanwhile, I Saw It First has got green, pink, blue and orange towelling sliders available in sizes 3 to 8, costing £25, or £17.50 when you use the code SUMMER at the checkout.
Further confirming the trend it one that many will be styling this summer, Public Desire are also on board with some cream, green and pink sliders. The brand describes them as: “A gorgeous terry towelling statement slipper that will guarantee you’re ahead of the trend,” as well as “the ultimate comfort without sacrificing fashion.”
Or if you’d prefer to splash the cash and get a designer pair, Tessuti are stocking a pair of pink Juicy Couture monogram jacquard towelling slides for £45. Best known for their early 00s tracksuits and with Y2K fashion well and truly on trend, maybe Juicy Couture is the perfect nod to the noughties, blending vintage and modern trends.
