Tottenham to 'step up' Ange Postecoglou interest after final as Celtic boss 'impresses' Daniel Levy

Tottenham plan to step up their interest in Ange Postecoglou with a timeline now revealed, according to a report.

The Celtic boss is said to have impressed Spurs chairman Daniel Levy as he begins the search for a permanent successor to Antonio Conte. The club chief is leading the search for a new head coach and director of football and will accelerate his efforts over the Hoops gaffer following the Scottish Cup Final say The Evening Standard.

The 57-year-old has been linked with numerous jobs south of the border this season after a stunning two years in charge of the Scottish champions. His first campaign ended in winning back the Scottish Premiership title from rivals Rangers and a League Cup in the trophy cabinet.

This season the Celtic gaffer has landed the two trophies once again but could add the Scottish Cup and complete a domestic Treble and make it five trophies in six since taking over the top job in Glasgow's east end. Inverness stand in the way of the Hoops and a clean sweep with the duo going head to head this coming Saturday.

Scott Munn, a fellow Australian, is set to become Levy's de facto No2 from July and he is a big admirer of the Aussie boss.

On the park it was a disappointing season for Tottenham who finished eighth in the English Premier League and missed out on Europe completely.

They also have all the talk over Harry Kane and his future to address with his contract at the club up next summer.
