Tottenham Hotspur have inked a four-year deal with a company that has already been working this summer to help push Antonio Conte's players to the next level.
The Italian demands peak fitness levels from his players, and Spurs fans will have seen Harry Kane, Son Heung-min & Co being pushed hard on the training pitches by fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone during the summer and in their matches in South Korea, Glasgow and Israel. Behind the scenes, Science in Sport (SiS) have also been playing a part in shaping the first team's preparation for the upcoming Premier League campaign, with its innovations and range of nutritional products made available to players throughout the pre-season period.
Now the club have made the partnership official with a four-year deal as Spurs' first 'performance solutions partner', and SiS will work closely with the nutrition and sports science teams for the next four seasons.

Spurs will also employ dedicated staff to work exclusively with SiS, including a PhD student to examine, input and help develop the programme. Tottenham's lead nutritionist Emma Tester will be in charge of the programme, which will involve frequent performance research trials and early-stage innovation studies.
"At Tottenham Hotspur, we aspire to be the world's best in performance nutrition. Since the start of pre-season, we have been working closely with James Morton and the team at SiS to get the products implemented across the squad and begin planning our wider nutritional strategy," she said.
"Having access and support from industry-leading experts is of huge benefit to us. We have had great feedback from the players on the range of products available to them, and we look forward to developing bespoke products to truly personalise their nutrition programme."
Through the partnership, Spurs will have access to a bespoke Performance Solutions Framework, custom-designed from leading professionals at SiS to shape the club's nutrition strategy. This includes frequent dialogue with a high-performance advisory board with exclusive access to specific knowledge and quality assurance.
"Science in Sport are committed to fuelling the world's best athletes and sports teams with world-leading science and innovation," said Professor James Morton, director of performance solutions at SiS. "With our Performance Solutions programme, we tailor our research, innovation, and world-class knowledge to deliver a true competitive advantage. We are delighted to partner with Tottenham Hotspur, a sports team who share the same pioneering values and vision."
