A man stabbed to death in Tottenham on Sunday night has been named by police as 25-year-old Jordan Briscoe.
Cordons were in place at the scene on Arnold Road on Monday as police searched for forensic clues.
Officers were called to the scene at 10.17pm with paramedics, who rushed the victim to hospital. He died in hospital later Sunday.
Police said that although formal identification is yet to take place they believed the victim is Jordan Briscoe.
Officers launched a murder probe and are appealing for the public’s help to find those responsible.
Mr Briscoe’s family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Met Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley said: “My heartfelt sympathies go to Jordan’s family and friends.
“Specialist support is in place to help them, and I can assure them that my colleagues and I will do everything possible to bring to justice anyone involved in this tragic killing.”
She appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious in Arnold Road, nearby Philip Lane or the surrounding area to get in touch.
“Cordons are in place as officers conduct detailed forensic enquiries in the local area,” she said.
“Searches are taking place and extensive enquiries are under way to obtain all CCTV footage that may assist the investigation.”
A number of local people have already spoken with officers to provide information to the investigation, she added.
Police are conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area and also met with community groups in the area on Monday afternoon.
Met Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines, in charge of local policing for the area, said: “Officers working at the scene have been speaking with local people, including making house to house enquiries.
“I urge anyone with information or concerns about crime in the area to speak with those officers.
“I have met with partners and community representatives this afternoon to share what we know and to listen to their concerns and suggestions.
“I am committed to ensuring that we continue working together in the coming days as the investigation progresses.”
