Tottenham player ratings vs Wolves: Porro improving, Forster busy but attackers struggle

Fraser Forster

Showed some nice feet to send Neves the wrong way in the Spurs box early on. Made a good flying save to push out Jimenez's header not long into the second half. Then made another fine scrambling save to stop Neves' effort from distance and tipped over a strike from the same man soon after. Saved from Jimenez, perhaps the only complaint being that he pushed it out too centrally, only for Traore to guide the loose ball home. 8

Cristian Romero

A few good aggressive tackles from the Argentine and he was one of the better Spurs defenders on the day. 7

Clement Lenglet

Playing through the centre, he looked in control in the first half but looked less comfortable and almost handed Wolves a goal in the second period with a loose pass that was intercepted and he then was too slow in getting back to stop Cunha's shot. 5

Ben Davies

Solid enough down the left but struggled as most did with Traore's strength when he came on. 6

Pedro Porro

A bright start down the right with one wayward shot and another low cross after a good run down the flank. Showed he can take a mean free-kick with a powerful curling effort that hit the crossbar. He had a looping deflected strike saved well by Sa in the second half. A better showing from the Spaniard. 7

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Started well but seemed to run out of steam as the game wore on against Wolves' fresher legs. 6

Oliver Skipp

Another decent showing for the young midfielder although he also got overrun with Hojbjerg by Wolves' fresh legs in the second half. 7

Ivan Perisic

Saw a header saved by Sa late in the first half, but again lacked quality with his deliveries to others throughout. 5

Dejan Kulusevski

Forced Sa into a flying save in the 20th minute but, other than the odd run and decent touch, the Swede struggled to find a way through. 5

Harry Kane

Involved in plenty through the middle and he started a couple of moves that ended with Spurs chances in the first half before putting Son through for a big opportunity early in the second. Had a couple of shots deflected wide in the second half but this was not vintage Kane. 6

Son Heung-min

Keeping his place, he cut inside and hit an early shot that Sa held. He curled in a deep free-kick which Perisic headed at goal. He then saw his effort early in the second half deflected on to the crossbar. More like the old Son at times but missing the finishing touch. 6

Subs

Lucas Moura

Replaced Kulusevski but other than one ball through to Kane offered little. 5

Emerson Royal

Added no attacking threat after replacing Porro. N/A

Richarlison

Came on for Davies late on but had little impact. N/A
