Tottenham news: £13m Ghana star eyed as England handed major Harry Kane injury worry before USA

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Tuesday, November 22.

Spurs eye £13m Ghana international

Corriere dello Sport state that Spurs are in the race to sign Ajax star Mohammed Kudus. The price tag right now isn't exactly frightening, as it's just €15million (£13million), but it's been made very that the fee could 'explode' if Kudus does well for Ghana at the World Cup.

Kane injury worry

England and Tottenham striker Harry Kane is a doubt ahead of the Three Lions' match against USA after sustaining an ankle injury against Iran.

Kane grabbed two assists but failed to score in the 6-2 win to move England top of Group B and is now a doubt ahead of the game against USA on Friday, November 25. The Spurs striker was seen limping through the mixed zone after the game with strapping around his right ankle after a challenge from Morteza Pouraliganji before he was substituted in the 75th minute by Gareth Southgate.

What Maguire's injury means for Dier

Harry Maguire was sadly forced to withdraw from the field of play against Iran as a result of concussion protocols. The England medical team rightly took no chances, and Southgate will now be hoping that he's fit to play later this week. Under current FIFA rules, if he has indeed suffered from a concussion, Maguire will be forced to sit out England's next group fixture against USA.

That could be a boost for Eric Dier, who may start in Maguire's place.
