Tottenham interim boss Vicky Jespon insists the team are ready for the fight against Leicester City in the Women's Super League on Wednesday after a 'difficult 24 hours' for the club.
Spurs announced the departure of Rehanne Skinner on Monday following their latest league defeat, a 2-1 loss away at Liverpool. Sunday's game at Prenton Park was their ninth WSL defeat on the bounce, and they haven't won since their 8-0 victory over Brighton back in October.
Wednesday night's home clash against Leicester, who are also struggling at the bottom of the table, is a crucial fixture in the fight for top-flight survival. Jepson admitted it has been a challenging start to the week for the club, but they're ready for the challenge against the Foxes.

“The last 24 hours have been difficult and emotional for myself, the staff and the players," she told the media on Tuesday. "We all love Rehanne and she built some fantastic foundations here and professionalised the club to get us to where we are.
"To see her exit the building yesterday was a tough pill to swallow, but every single one of us will be so grateful and never forget the great things that she did at this club and the foundations that she built. Once we addressed those emotions yesterday evening and this morning when we came into training, we had to get the game face on.
"We’ve got a game tomorrow night and the show doesn’t stop in football, so that’s been our focus."
Jepson also highlighted the lack of goals as one of the reasons the team haven't picked up results over the last few months. She urged they will need to be clinical if they're to claim all three points against Willie Kirk's side.
She continued: “Definitely goals (have been lacking in recent weeks) . Getting over the line. Every team wants goals. We’ve created many opportunities and even clear cut chances at the weekend.
"We dominated possession, but we’ve got to have purpose with it and finish off those chances when they arise. I have no doubt that we’ll do that tomorrow.”
Jepson confirmed January signing Mana Iwabuchi will be fit for Wednesday night, but they will have to manage her load going forward. She also confirmed Ria Percival is making strides in her recovery, but is not yet training with the team.
Kick-off at Brisbane Road is at 7pm on Wednesday night and the match can be streamed live on the FA Player.
