Tottenham favourites to beat Chelsea to Xavi Simons deal as £60m hijack edges closer

Tottenham have now moved ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons.

The 22-year-old was given permission by the German club to travel to London and explore a move, with the Dutchman understood to be keen on joining a Premier League side.
