Tottenham duo linked with La Liga transfer as Fabio Paratici faces £42m deadline day decision

Tottenham Hotspur could be set to agree to a double La Liga deal on deadline day, with both Dele Alli and Giovani Lo Celso reportedly being considered for moves to Spain.

The pair have fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte, and were expected to leave during the January transfer window. They remain as Spurs players but they might well have the opportunity to leave during the final days of the January market.

They were both left out of the Spurs squad for their recent 2-0 defeat to Chelsea - potentially signalling that they have little prospect of futures in north London.

Dele Alli - previously linked with the likes of Newcastle United - has seemingly emerged as a surprise option for Valencia.

According to The Athletic, the Spanish outfit are interested in a loan move for the 25-year-old and could be set to add to his signing alongside the potential arrival of youngster Bryan Gil.

Alli has made just six appearances under Antonio Conte since his arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has just two-and-a-half years remaining on the long-term deal that he signed in 2018.

Elsewhere, the England international could also be followed by fellow midfielder Giovani Lo Celso should he seal a move to Spain.

Signed from Real Betis in January 2020, the Argentine has failed to hit top form in north London having netted just eight goals in 84 appearances in all competitions.

As per talkSPORT, the 25-year-old is set for a loan move to Villarreal in an effort to find more regular football, having been afforded just two Premier League starts so far this term.

Valued at £42m between them, it would be quite a call to see Fabio Paratici let the pair leave for Spain - especially with Tanguy Ndombele seemingly on the verge of a return to former club Lyon.

Should the trio leave, this would see Spurs with just Oliver Skipp, Harry Winks and Pierre-Emile Hobjerg as their only central midfield players for the remainder of the campaign.

However, those options could be supplemented by the addition of Rodrigo Bentancur, who appears set to join Spurs alongside current Juventus teammate Dejan Kulusevski.
