Liverpool are considering a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Weston McKennie this January, according to the latest reports.
The Reds are a little light in the midfield area and are expected to sign a midfielder or two in 2023. With the likes of Fabinho, Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson not getting any younger, they need long-term options.
Jude Bellingham looks to be the clear first-choice target, though there have been links to World Cup stars Enzo Fernandes and Sofyan Amrabat as well. That being said, they're now also being linked with a move for McKennie.

As per the Daily Mail, via HITC, the USMNT star is a possible loan target for January. McKennie is expected to leave Juventus in 2023 and Liverpool may take a look at him as a stopgap until the likes of Bellingham or Fernandez can arrive.
There would also be scope for Liverpool to turn any loan for McKennie permanent, which could appeal to Jurgen Klopp and Co. if he's successful after a loan spell at Anfield.
The news comes as a blow to Spurs, though, as the club have been monitoring his situation for some time now. football.london understand that Fabio Parataci is a huge fan of the USA international and in fact, the Italian director actually wanted to sign McKennie ahead of Rodrigo Bentancur in January.
A reunion between the two would be ideal for Antonio Conte as he looks to develop his Tottenham side, but with Liverpool interested, signing him isn't exactly a given.
