Avoid tan lines during the forthcoming heatwave by heading to one of the many nudist beaches in the UK. Travel search engine KAYAK has rounded up the bare essentials on the nation's top beach destinations to escape the heat for less than £100 a night.
Brighton is famed for its naturist beach, but there are other locations spread around England and Wales hat welcomes sunseekers who want to bare all. But KAYAK has found a selection of seaside spots where it won't cost a fortune to shed any inhibitions.
Coming out top is West Shore beach, on Walney Island, near Barrow-in-Furness, in Cumbria, which offers the lowest hotel costs on average with prices around £67 per night. For those looking to get naked on the south coast, Abbot’s Cliff in Folkestone is only a few pounds more, with on average £70 a night.
If this south coast hotspot is a little overcrowded, head to Eastbourne with two naturist beaches to choose from; Birling Gap and Norton Bay, and a hotel is around £93 on average per night. For those brave souls ready to bare all on a surfboard, then Petitor beach in Torquay has accommodation at an average £99 per night.
The Devon resort of Sidmouth, which allows naturists on the town's Western Beach, is another popular location to bare all, while St Osyth, near Clacton-on-Sea, is another UK summer staycation destination that’s seen a huge surge in searches in recent weeks. The Essex seaside town also offers some of the lowest priced hotel options amongst other UK nudist beach destinations, with prices around £82 per night on average.
