A top Irish cyclist says he could have been paralysed after he came off his bicycle after it appears a 'trap' was set as he trained in a local forest.
Sean Nolan, 20, who is a member of the EvoPro Racing team, was left with fractured bones in two different vertebrae and four broken ribs after the incident on Friday, July 22.
He said if he had landed a couple of centimetres in another direction, he could have damaged his spinal cord.
