Tributes have poured for a "top bloke" who was a "great mate".
The ECHO previously reported how Andy McEvoy had been reported missing on Thursday night after leaving his friends at the Eagle & Child pub in Halewood to "get a Dominos for his sons," according to his friends. Yesterday it was announced "with great sadness" that the dad and keen runner had died.
Tributes came pouring in on social media as running club Knowsley Harriers announced they would be dedicating their monthly 5K race to Andy, and have encouraged runners to wear red in his memory, for his favourite football club, Liverpool. They said: "All, it is with great sadness we share the news that Andy has passed away. We send our thoughts to his family at this sad time."

Tracy Gibbs-Bullen added: "Absolutely heartbreaking thoughts with this young man's family and friends", as Andrea Burgess wrote: "Devastating news my friend. RIP Andy, will never forget you. Sending love to all his family." Leanne Gerrard said: "RIP Andy such a fantastic friend to us all we will miss you."
ECHO reader Kathleen Barton said: "Ahh so sad only reading this other night that he never came home, such sad news rest in peace, condolences to his family." Lynne Hindley added: "Devastating so quick like this. R I P Andy. Life can be so scary one minute all ok the next minute this happens. Thinking of all the family at this horrific time."
