Too Hot To Handle star Nicole O’Brien has opened up about being duped out of money on a nightmare date.
The Cork native found fame on the hit Netflix dating show back in 2020 that came with a twist, as couples were told not to kiss or do anything sexual, or risk losing prize money.
Speaking as part of the Tinder Swindler documentary: Wild Things We Do For Love on Netflix, Nicole has lifted the lid on her dating life since the show – revealing how during one date, he flew her to the Amalfi Coast before telling her he was broke and forced her to pay for everything.
She said: “First date, I stayed at his family home for five days. Second date ended up going to the Amalfi Coast. He tells me he’s broke – I have to pay for everything.”
Nicole had previously opened up about her worst dates - and it is not the first time she’s had to pay for everything.
She said: “The worst date I've ever been on was about two years ago, we went to this bar in Shoreditch.
“I actually forget this guy's name because I was a serial dater. I went on about two dates every week for about a year.
“But basically, we went to a bar and he got so drunk he passed out on the table.
"And yeah, I had to pay for everything the whole night. And I usually don’t mind that, but he just got so drunk he fell asleep on the date and got really handsy. Like no.”
