'Too Good To Go' Glasgow bags: The restaurants and cafes you can pick one up from

There's nothing better than getting a takeaway and sitting at home after a long and exhausting day.

Whether you need to put your feet up after a long day at work or a long day of shopping, the last thing we want to do is stand over the stove cooking.

Thankfully in the last few years however, people have been more committed to reducing their waste in a bid to help the environment with apps such as Too Good To Go coming onto the UK scene back in 2016.

Since then thousands of large coffee chains as well as local and independent cafés and restaurants have signed up so their food doesn't get chucked in the bin and they make a little extra money.

The app lets a user enter a specific location where they can select from a list or a map the restaurants and cafés closest to them who have leftover food available for collection at a certain time for a set price - much cheaper than they would have usually been sold at during their trading hours.

According to the food waste business, nine million people have already used the app with over 20,000 businesses reducing their food waste along the way.

In addition, the world’s largest food-waste app was recognised for its work in providing solutions to the global food waste challenge having secured a place on The Times 100 Most Influential Companies 2022.
