Tony Romo had fans so confused with his ‘wizard is still wizardry’ line about Patrick Mahomes

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback-turned CBS broadcaster Tony Romo continues to befuddle NFL fans with his unpopular commentary.

During Sunday’s AFC championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, Romo found a very strange phrase to describe the play of superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Seemingly trying to make a comparison that fizzled out into repetition, Romo said that Mahomes’ magic on this particular play that “the wizard is still wizardry!”

If you’re deeply confused as to where Romo was going with that, you’re not alone. Not even Albus Dumbledore could have figured out what the heck that turn of phrase meant.

As you can imagine, NFL fans turned their abject confusion into what Romo said into a king’s ransom of Twitter gripes.

With Romo’s broadcasting star falling fast among NFL fans, another strange quip like this won’t help him win anyone back in the football or wizarding community.

NFL fans just couldn't deal with Romo's latest Romo-ism.
